Kristin

Kristin has explored a wide range of mediums, taking classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, at the John C. Campbell Folk School, and the Watkins School of Art and Design in Nashville. At a gallery in Texas, she first encountered a painting done in encaustic.  Upon returning to the Minnesota in 2007, she began taking classes with Jeff Hirst, a prominent artist residing in the Twin Cities.  In 2013, Kristin joined the Women’s Art Resources of Minnesota (WARM) Mentor Program, working with Farida Hughes.  Her abstract paintings are inspired by textiles, architecture and the natural environment and have been included in a number of exhibitions in the Twin Cities.
